Three methods to detoxify your hair

Perhaps your hair looks healthy, but it could be brighter and stronger. And of course you would do everything to have really beautiful hair. You use dozens of kinds of hair care products, perhaps even on a daily basis. However, due to too much shaping and dyeing, hair loses its natural brightness and elasticity, becomes coarse and faded, and begins to break. From this point on, a vicious cycle begins, as newly growing hair will be thinner and weaker.

The following simple detoxification methods, on the other hand, can do a miracle and restore the shine and strength of your hair in a short time!

1. Bentonite clay and aloe vera

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup bentonite clay powder
  • ½ cup aloe vera gel
  • 4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar

Mix the clay, the aloe vera and 4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar to obtain a smooth paste. Apply the mixture to your scalp and your hair. Put on a shower cap and leave the mixture on for 20-30 minutes. Make sure the mixture doesn’t dry onto your hair! Rinse with a cup of apple cider vinegar, wait for 2-3 minutes and then wash your hair with shampoo and apply hair conditioner.

Clay removes minerals and toxins deposited on the hair strands, while aloe vera nourishes and brightens hair.

Apply this treatment once every 2 weeks.

2. Baking soda

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup baking soda
  • 3 cups hot water

Mix the baking soda and the water and allow it to cool to lukewarm. In the meantime, wet your hair thoroughly and then massage the mixture well into your scalp. After a few minutes rinse with water, and then use honey for conditioning.

Lukewarm water raises the hair follicles, so the active ingredients in the mixture can penetrate deep into the scalp. Baking soda removes greasy deposits, eliminates dandruff and removes residues that come from commonly used synthetic hair care products.

Apply this treatment once a week or every two weeks.

3. Shampoo with sea salt

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts rough granular sea salt
  • 1 part shampoo

Mix the salt and the shampoo and wash your hair until the shampoo starts to foam abundantly. Rinse with cold water.

A mixture of exfoliating salt and shampoo helps getting rid of dead skin cells and cleanses the scalp from toxic deposits.

Apply this treatment once a month.
