“Juste 2 minutes” (“Only Two Minutes”) is the title of the short movie in which Canadian producer Yan Giroux presents the importance of respecting parking lots reserved for the physically impaired.
Parking in spots reserved for those who have difficulty moving around is a sad phenomenon in many countries. The Internet is full of video recordings showing cars parked in such spots, some even occupying two.
The action of the short film takes place in the parking lot of a supermarket, where a couple parks their car in a spot reserved for the handicapped, with the pretext that they would only need two minutes to do their shopping. In the meantime, a driver who suffers from severe physical disability is looking for a parking spot, and he is forced to park at a considerable distance from the store.
Unfortunately, a large number of people don’t realize that for such persons even several meters of additional walk can be very difficult. Of course, inconsiderate habits won’t disappear overnight, but we shouldn’t give up when the law and the ethics are both on our side!
