This dessert is definitely worth the time to prepare on a hot day. The huge ice cream on a sponge cake can become a favorite treat to be enjoyed in the garden or on a picnic.
- 1 package chocolate cake powder,
- 4 eggs,
- 1 cup water,
- half a cup vegetable oil,
- 3 rectangular ice cream bars.
Preparation: Pour the cake powder in a bowl, add the eggs, stir, then pour in the water and the oil. Mix until lump-free. Divide the mixture in two equal parts and bake them on baking paper-lined trays for twenty minutes.
When the cakes have cooled, use a ruler to make them perfectly rectangular, and then use a straw to poke holes into one of them.
Place one of the cakes onto a tray, smooth on the ice cream and press it down using a plastic sheet, and then cover the ice cream with another layer of cake. When you are ready, place the cake in the fridge for two hours.
