With this series, the artist wants to call attention to discrimination of persons living with physical impairment.
An Italian artist, Alexsandro Palombo, created a thought-provoking series of images: he presented Disney heroines considered models of perfection such as Snow White, Belle, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Mulan, Pocahontas, Tiana and Jasmine in wheelchairs, with crutches and with missing limbs.
Palombo himself lives with physical impairment, as he became partially paralyzed as a result of cancer. “I have to fight various forms of discrimination every single day. Through this series of images, I would like to call attention to the strong discrimination directed towards persons living with physical impairment”, he declared.
