Ian wanted to celebrate his sixth birthday with his beloved grandfather, Otilio Valdez at a bus themed party.
Birthday parties are always very special, especially as a child. Many kids want a real big party, with presents, decorations, friends and family. But there are also those who want something simpler and more typical.
Ian, a little boy from Mexico, celebrated his sixth birthday with a very special themed party. He decided to dress up as a bus driver like his grandfather, Otilio Valdez, and the whole celebration was built around this theme. The little boy loves his grandfather so much that the bus driver theme meant more to him than any superhero or other fictional character that children are usually fans of.
The birthday pictures were shared by the grandfather on Facebook. The photos show him as the driver of the birthday van, and he even got a photo ID to go with it.
“After not wearing a tie for I don’t know how long, I put on a tie just to honor my grandson on his birthday. Seeing him happy was the greatest thing in the world. Happy sixth birthday,” Otilio Valdez wrote in the Facebook post.
They posed in front of the camera in glasses, shirts and ties, and also pinned their ID cards. Ian must have been preparing for this special occasion for a long time, and the photos show that he was a very happy bus driver as he posed next to his grandfather.
So much does he admire his grandfather’s work that he even got a piñata in the shape of a bus, and was able to pose with a cardboard cut-out of a bus. It is very likely that when he grows up, he will indeed choose this profession.
The boy’s mother, Mitzy Valdez, mentioned in a post that she was just missing one little detail to create the perfect look, but she couldn’t get it. “I would do anything to see him happy. I wanted a mustache but I couldn’t find one and I didn’t want to draw one,” the mother wrote.
Pictures from the birthday party quickly went viral on social media, with many users posting comments. “We’ll save a bus for when he learns to drive,” wrote a commenter. Many others took the opportunity to greet the birthday boy.
Ian seems to have had a great time and it was a party he will probably never forget.
