National Park experts don’t recommend the tour of the lakes in these weather conditions.
Plitvice Lakes, with their unparalleled beauty, are a favorite destination of tourists throughout the year. One of Europe’s most beautiful natural attractions lies in a valley surrounded by hills covered with forests. Plitvice Lakes National Park was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in1979.
Last year, during the severe winter, some beautiful images were captured by Outdoors Croatia. We fell in love with the the miracles of nature.
The Plitvice Lakes National Park authorities asked the tourists on their Facebook page to make inquiries by phone before they start touring the lakes, because the 30-40 cm thick snow makes the tour very dangerous.
Nevertheless, visitors to the park took and shared beautiful photos of the snow-covered park.
