Baking soda can be found in most households, but its use is usually very limited in comparison to its many benefits.
Let’s see what you can use baking soda for, besides tooth whitening and household cleaning.
1. Skin peeling
Baking soda is one of the best exfoliating agents, as it removes dead skin cells effectively. Mix baking soda with a little water, and rub the paste onto your face and cleavage. Regular use results in smooth, clean skin.
2. Hair Cleansing
When shampooing, use baking soda as well, as it has been proven to be a great cleaning agent. It removes dead skin cells, dirt and greasy hair efficiently and cleans effectively.
3. Cleaning brushes and combs
If you have used baking soda to remove tartar, you noticed how effective it is. Soak old combs and brushes in warm water mixed with a small amount of baking soda to get rid of impurities.
4. Treating cuticles
Did you know that baking soda softens the cuticles? Mix it with a little water and use a small brush to apply a thick layer on your nail beds. Leave it on for a while, then rub it gently into the cuticles and wash it off.
5. Removing warts
A wart is a common problem, and it can be very painful. Take a little baking soda, stir in a few drops of lemon juice and coat the wart. Allow the mixture to dry, and then rinse it with water.
