You can make naan bread without yeast from oatmeal, using yoghurt instead.
This kind of bread is full of fiber and therefore healthier than the white flour version. It is usually eaten with Indian dishes such as curries, but it is also delicious with any kind of gravy or on its own with a topping.
Ingredients for 4 pieces
- 250 g oat flour
- 1 tablespoon natural yoghurt
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 50 ml lukewarm water
Preparation
Pour the oat flour into a bowl. Add the baking powder, salt and yoghurt and gradually add enough lukewarm water to make a well-shaped dough.
Knead until smooth, then divide into four equal portions, shape dumplings and roll out into a circle on a floured board. Cook the patties in a dry pan for a few minutes each side until crispy.
