The creator of the short animation film “Strings”, or “Cuerdas” by its Spanish title has been awarded with the Goya prize this year. Producer Pedro Solis has already won a prize in 2011 for another short film, “La Bruxa”. His new creation is wonderful, and it is a gap filler for sure.
In the story, a new boy arrives to the orphanage – a special little boy bound to a wheelchair, due to his disability. Maria, however, is not perplexed for a single moment. She befriends the boy instantly, and they set off for an amazing adventure. The film is in Spanish, but the images speak for themselves.
The producer created the film with the intent of making it available to as many educational institutions as possible, for a large number of children to see it and get the message.
