Apple cider vinegar is useful outside the kitchen too; this natural product has many uses in beauty care as well.
In hair care
This type of vinegar can work wonders when used on the scalp. It tops the production of dandruff, and makes hair shinier and healthier. Mix one part apple cider vinegar with three parts water and three drops of rosemary oil; the latter disinfects the scalp and enhances hair growth. Shake the mixture well, and then use it to rinse the hair. Allow it to work for a few minutes, before washing it off.
In nail care
After removing nail polish completely, rub a drop of vinegar onto the surface of each nail. Due to its natural fruit acid content, vinegar will remove grease from the surface of the nails; new layers of nail polish will stick better to nails, and manicures will last longer.
In facial care
Apple cider vinegar balances the skin’s pH value, which makes it a perfect facial tonic as well. Add two tablespoons of vinegar to two cups of water, and wash your face thoroughly with the mixture.
Against acne
Mix apple cider vinegar with honey and wheat flour to obtain a great remedy that fights acne. Apple cider vinegar has inflammation-reducing and disinfecting properties, and so does honey.
In the bathwater
Two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar added to the bathwater works as a gentle skin peeler. Also, a vinegar bath has a detoxifying effect and softens skin as well.
Against bad breath
A mixture made up of one part vinegar and one part water can be used as mouthwash. However, we need to be aware that this solution, besides having a great deodorizing effect, may damage tooth enamel due to its high acid content. For this reason, it should be used sparingly.
