Baked-on grease is very difficult to scrape off from the bottom of pots and pans. If you have already done all the tricks in the book and nothing helped, you shouldn’t despair. There are still other solutions besides throwing away the dishes.

In the video below you can see a lot of ketchup being poured into a pot with stubborn burned down residues. Ketchup is an amazingly effective cleaning agent, but it seems that it’s not the best option.

You can see that during the experiment ketchup, Bar Keepers, mono-potassium tartrate bleaching powder and baking soda were used to see which one of these is the best able to remove burned-on grease.

The results show that each cleaning agent performs well, but baking soda is the only one that exceeds the expected effect. It turns out that this good old ingredient is still the most effective cleaner.
