Ginger is a spice rich in potassium, a mineral important for the normal functioning of the cardiovascular system; it also contains manganese, a mineral that increases resistance to various diseases and has the ability to strengthen the lining of the heart and the cardiovascular system.

Ginger beer – the recipe

Ingredients

• 250 grams of finely chopped fresh ginger
• 500 ml water
• Honey
• Carbonated water
• Juice of 1 lime

Preparation

Boil the water. When the water begins to boil, add the ginger. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture boil for 3-4 minutes. Then remove it from the heat and strain.

The drinks are served as follows: 1 part ginger syrup and 3 parts carbonated water. Serve with ice and sweeten to taste with honey. Add a dash of lime juice and ginger beer is ready!
