Twix enthusiasts are probably already excited by the prospect of making their favourite snack at home. Here are the three ingredients for the Twix recipe, quick and easy to prepare and just as delicious as the original version.
1. Good quality milk chocolate
2. Caramel
3. Crisp, crunchy biscuits
Preparation
Take a 25-30 cm long and 8-10 cm wide pan and line it with baking paper. Ensure that the sides are well covered; otherwise the liquid chocolate will ooze out into the pan.
Melt the chocolate and the caramel separately.
Spread the melted chocolate into the baking tray, so it covers the bottom of the tray completely. Then quickly spread the melted caramel over the layer of chocolate (attention, caramel will harden very fast). Allow to cool slightly.
Cover the chocolate-caramel base with biscuits; press them into the caramel gently, but firmly.
Pour on the remaining melted caramel, then another layer of biscuits, and then the remaining melted chocolate.
Place the cake in the fridge. When the chocolate and the caramel have hardened, take the cake out and carefully remove the baking paper.
Now you will add some more chocolate to crown this gigantic and heavenly dessert. Place the cake on two glasses and pour melted chocolate on it. Smooth down the chocolate on the sides and you’re done.
Believe me, not only children will love it. Have fun preparing it, and enjoy!
