Tea is a popular drink especially during the fall and winter months. It is not only an excellent hot drink, but it can also be used in household cleaning.
Here are some ideas:
1. Cleaning floors and carpets
Wood floors and furniture will benefit from being wiped down with tea instead of water. Similarly, you can freshen up carpets: make green tea, pour it in a bottle with sprinkler head, spray the tea over the carpets and then vacuum the carpets thoroughly.
2. Avoiding overwatering plants
Dry used tea filters and place them at the bottom of pots. The tea bags will soak up excess water.
3. Cleaning mirrors
Instead of chemicals found in stores that may leave streaks on glass, use cold tea to wash mirrors.
4. Deodorizer
You can remove bad odors by wiping problem surfaces or materials with a piece of cloth soaked in tea. If your closet smells bad, put some dry tea leaves in small organza bags and place it in the closet.
5. Insect repellent
If you don’t manage to kill the mosquitos in the bedroom, place a cup of tea by the bed to keep them away. Tea works against dust mites as well.
