The sun, chlorinated pools or salty sea water certainly damage the skin. You should therefore prepare some masks and cream, and one of the best raw materials for this purpose is honey.
Honey nourishes, protects and refreshes facial skin. It is extremely high in enzymes, vitamins and minerals, and these substances get into the deepest layers of the skin; moreover, it collects toxins as well. It rejuvenates the features, helps retaining moisture and prevents dehydration; it makes the skin smooth and supple. It heals and prevents blemishes, discoloration and acne, and it promotes skin cell regeneration.

For example, honey-yogurt paste is a great solution to nourish the skin.
- Mix a cup of plain yogurt with a teaspoon of honey, a few drops of lemon juice and a little olive oil. Spread this onto the skin and allow it to act for twenty minutes.
- You can take a honey bath as well. Stir into the water 3 tablespoons of honey and ½ liter of apple cider vinegar and soak yourself in it for a quarter of an hour. Alternatively, you can pour half a cup of honey and half a liter of milk into the tub, and relax in it. To obtain a calming effect, dissolve a cup of honey in one liter of warm milk, and pour it into the bathwater. Always take a lukewarm shower after a bath.
- Honey body scrub is excellent as well. Mix one tablespoon of honey with two tablespoons of ground almonds and the juice of ½ lemon. Rub this mixture gently all over the body in a circular motion.
