Strawberries are the star fruit of the spring, and homemade strawberry ice cream is an all-time favorite.
- 1 cup liquid cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups strawberries
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavor
- Fresh strawberries and mint for decoration
To make strawberry ice cream, pick very ripe pieces of fruit. Wash them thoroughly, and put them in a blender or crush them and then press them through a strainer to remove the seeds. Whip the cream until as hard as possible. Pour the powdered sugar into the strawberry purée, mix and then add the milk.
Add the strawberry and milk mixture to the whipped cream little by little mixing at the lowest speed in ten meantime, and add the vanilla as well. When the cream is well mixed, pour it into ice cream molds and place the molds into the freezer. Mix the cream well after the first half hour. Serve the ice cream with fresh strawberries and mint.
