The National Agency of Pediatrics in Philadelphia has initiated a campaign to support new mothers in keeping their babies safe beginning with the first moments of their lives. The unique idea was initiated by doctors of the Temple University Hospital.
The hospital offers mothers boxes with plenty of essentials: clothes, diapers, a sleeping bag and an informative book. The National Agency of Pediatrics recommends mothers to allow their babies to sleep on their back on a firm mattress, in their own crib.
Many mothers consider the program extremely useful, as the box is designed to serve as an always ready crib for their babies.
