Green tea, obtained from the leaves of the bush Camellia sinensis / Thea sinensis is a plant which has been thoroughly researched by scientists. It has been found that the plant has a rejuvenating effect on the entire body, protects the cells from aging (antioxidant effect), prevents the degeneration of certain tissues, and regulates metabolism.
Concentrated flavonoids
The most precious biochemical component in green tea is flavonoids (25% of the composition), which are substances that protect the plant from aggressive viruses, bacteria, fungi and toxic ultraviolet radiation in the atmosphere.
Flavonoids neutralize the carcinogenic substances before they generate tumors. Combined with tannins, flavonoids are able to combat some diseases and even to stop the spreading of tumors.
Prevention of cancer
Research performed in Asian countries, where people consume large amounts of green tea, shows that it reduces the risk of several types of cancer, including breast, prostate, mouth, stomach and intestinal cancer. A study published in “The Journal of the National Cancer Institute,” which examined Chinese men and women, has demonstrated that drinking green tea reduces the risk of esophagus cancer by 60%.
An investigation performed by the Japanese Ministry of Health found a reduced incidence of stomach and colorectal cancer in areas where green tea is grown. Lung cancer is also very rare here, even though people in Japan smoke more than those in the US.

Set the cold liquid aside, scald the tea leaves with a cup of hot water and allow to infuse for 20 minutes, and then filter. Finally, mix the two extracts to obtain about half a liter of infusion.
How to consume green tea for the prevention of cancer
Long term treatments are necessary for cancer prevention:
- Drink every day ½ to 1 liter of green tea infusion. The duration of a cure should be at least six months per year.
Precaution
People who suffer from hypertension or heart disease, or take psychotropic medication should ask for medical advice before consuming green tea. Also, people who suffer from sleep disorders should not consume large amounts of green tea, especially after 5 pm.
