If you would like to enjoy the sight of abundantly flowering petunias all summer long, follow the advice below.
The right spot
Always try to place petunias in a sunny spot, as they need lots of sunlight.
Water
If you have the opportunity, collect rainwater for your petunias. Do not water them every few days only, but at least twice a day, in the morning and in the evening.
Nutrients
Petunias absorb the nutrients in the soil very quickly, and therefore the nutrients need to be replaced constantly. Feed them with a nutrient solution added to water 1-2 times a week.
Trimming shoots
For continuous and long-lasting flowering, cut back the shoots once a week, even if the plant is in bloom. Be careful not to leave shoots longer than 50 cm to ensure abundant flowering and a long life.
Protection
Petunias are very delicate. Make sure to take them to a sheltered place before a thunderstorm.
