Marty Daniels was only 13 when he started to dance – he did his first dance steps when he learned the quadrille.
60 years later, at a salsa dance class, he met the film producer Michael Lei, who decided to share Marty’s story of love and perseverance.
The Korean War veteran lost his wife three months ago. They danced together for 60 years, not missing even a single day.
Daniels, who used to be a very shy youth, says, “She pulled me out of my shell. Dragged me out to the dance floor and I’ve been dancing ever since,”
“We were married for over 60 years and a day didn’t go by when we didn’t dance together,” he adds. “I miss her very much.”
