Bright yellow dandelions are regarded as a problem by many people, as it can be annoying to have it cluttering up the whole yard when viewed as a weed. However, once you become more familiar with its healing properties, you will never eradicate it again!
Every part of dandelion, from root to flower, has healing properties. Dandelion is somewhat similar to coltsfoot, which is most commonly found along roadsides and ditch banks early in the spring, and its medicinal properties are also unsurpassed.
For diseases of the lungs and respiratory tract
As soon as the snow has melted, coltsfoot, most commonly found along ditch banks and at the end of gardens, appears in sun-colored masses. It can be used to treat chronic lung diseases, bronchitis and other respiratory problems.
Add a tablespoon of coltsfoot leaves to a cup of boiling water, cover and let stand for 5 minutes, then drink the infusion in small sips. You can drink 2-3 cups of coltsfoot tea a day for 1-2 months.
Do not use the flowers or roots of the marigold, as they are slightly poisonous.
Pine bud syrup for coughs
Fresh pine buds make a very effective cough syrup. If you collect enough of them this spring and prepare them, you won’t need to take any medicine for coughing during the winter cold season.
Add an equal amount of sugar or honey to the pine buds you have collected, mix well and transfer into an airtight, clean jar. When you feel that you need it, take 2-3 tablespoons of the delicious syrup per day.
Recommended for coughs and respiratory illnesses.
