Why you should never throw out eggshells

Eggshells are a natural source of various minerals; they are in fact made up of 90% calcium. The body can utilize calcium very easily, as the buildup of the teeth and the bones is close to the buildup of eggshells.

By taking in an adequate quantity of calcium, you can prevent osteoporosis, blood pressure fluctuations and high cholesterol levels. This means that you probably should never throw out eggshells.

Besides calcium, eggshells contain zinc, copper, manganese, floor, phosphorus, chromium and molybdenum. It is enough to consume 3 g crushed eggshells a day to cover our daily necessary calcium intake.

1. They strengthen the immune system and cleanse the blood

Clean the shells of five eggs, crush them, add 3 L water, and store the mixture in the fridge for seven days. Drink 2–3 glasses of this mixture every day. You may add lemon juice to it before serving.

2. It alleviates problems with the thyroid gland

Crush the shells of eight eggs, and add the juice of two lemons. Store the mixture in the fridge for several days, and then adds 1 L 50% alcohol and a kilogram of honey. Leave it in the fridge for seven more days. After that, take a teaspoon of the mixture after each main meal.

3. It treats stomach ulcers

Crush the shells of several eggs, and then add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 100 mL hot milk. Take a teaspoonful of the mixture in the morning right after getting up, and one in the evening before going to bed. For the best effect, take the mixture on an empty stomach.
