Music is one of the arts that can move us deeply through everything it expresses, but especially through the artists that bring it to life. At the Mirabilia Festival 2017, two dancers step on the keys of a giant piano to interpret very expressively a classical piece of music.
“Comptine d’un autre été” composed by Yann Tiersen, included in the soundtrack of “Le fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain” is interpreted by this pair of dancers on a huge piano.
The young woman plays the first notes of the song, and then her partner joins her in the exceptional interpretation. The perfect synchronizing of instrumental music and ballet choreography brings the arts of dance and music to a new dimension.
At one point, the dancers change places, but they still continue the remarkable interpretation. Behind them, a young woman accompanies them on the violin, and she manages to give even more expression and harmony to the entire artistic moment.
Towards the end of the show, the two partners start stepping at the same pace, and when the violin music stops, they distance each other in full harmony.
