Nature provides us with an incredible show of life as long as we are willing to pay attention. Some cameras placed in a forest reveal some of the secrets of the ecosystem, and, most of all, they show us the premium importance of fungi in saving lives.

Paul Stamets is one of those people for whom learning about the properties of mushrooms to cure diseases and implicitly to save human lives is of utmost importance. These mushrooms practically represent rebirth, regeneration and rejuvenation.

Paul Stamets’s mission is to discover what the links in an ecosystem are and how they function. He is also trying to explain how nature communicates. He discovered that there are multiple connections between the organisms of an ecosystem, and if these are destroyed, the raw material necessary to produce lifesaving medicines will be irretrievably lost.

Mushrooms can save the world, and this fact is fully demonstrated. Some of the ideas proposed by Stamets are ranging from the treatment of various viralinfections to developing a cure for cancer.

Stamet’s credo is that we need to change this paradigm in human consciousness and do everything we can to protect our health. He believes that if he ends up dying tomorrow, but he’ll leave behind things that can make changes in the evolution of life on this planet, and he thinks it’s worth dying for this cause. In fact, at least he can say that he tried – but how many people don’t try at all… He thinks that nature is a force of the good, and good is not only a concept, but also a conscience; therefore, fortunately, ultimately good will prevail.
