The following recipe is perfect if you are expecting guests, but it is also great if you just want to munch on some light and fluffy snacks. In a cold winter probably it’s always nice if the delicious scent of baking rolls fills the house.
- 1/2 liter milk
- 200 ml oil
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 kg flour
- 70 g yeast
- 150 g cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 cube margarine
- 1 tube pizza sauce
Mix the yeast with sugar and half of the milk to activate. Mix the rest of the milk with salt and oil and heat it until lukewarm.
Pour the flour into a bowl, and then slowly add the milk mixture and the activated yeast.
Knead the dough until smooth and leave to rest for an hour. Then separate the dough into 8 equal parts, roll them out one by one and spread pizza cream over them.
Cut the pieces into equal slices, add a pinch of margarine at the wider end, and roll them up in crescent shape. Place the croissants on a baking sheet, coat them with egg and sprinkle them with grated cheese. Bake in the oven until golden brown.
