Insects made of recycled hardware

When looking at the artwork of Edouard Martinet French artist, it is difficult to believe that the components of the statues have ever been used for any other purpose. In reality, every head, body, wing and leg used to be a part of a car, bicycle, typewriter and other objects.

The virtuoso sculptor has been assembling recycled hardware to make animals, nowadays mostly insects, for 17 years. Instead of welding the various pieces together, he uses screws to assemble his creations. He generally needs a month to finish a statue, and he usually works on two or three pieces in the same period of time.
