If you have a pet, you are responsible for its well-being. In the summer heat it’s very important to provide your pet with a sufficient amount of fresh drinking water.
It is recommended to change water in the dog’s dish several times a day. Stale water does more harm than good, as it won’t quench thirst, and after a while it will start teeming with bacteria. The water station shown below is simple and easy to make, and it’s the ideal solution to provide a dog with fresh water for a long time.
Take a piece of wood board, place the water dish onto it, and attach a stronger piece of wood to the board vertically. Take a 2 liter plastic bottle, and fasten it upside down to the vertical piece of wood with the aid of duct tape, so the mouth of the bottle reaches into the water dish.
Fill both the dish and the bottle with water. As the level of the water lowers in the dish, it will be replenished with clean and fresh water from the bottle. As the bottle will take up a considerable space, it is important to use a large enough dish, so the dog can drink comfortably.
