This delicacy can become the favorite of many. It is crunchy, doesn’t crumble, and can be preserved for a long time without changing its texture or taste.
- 250 g margarine at room temperature
- 100 g cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 cups flour
- 1-2 teaspoons salt
- 1 egg for spreading
- Toppings to taste
Preheat the oven to 180–200°. Knead together all the ingredients, spread out to the desired thickness and cut into sticks. Then place the sticks into a baking pan lined with baking paper. Spread some whisked egg on top and sprinkle the sticks with salt and, according to your taste, with grated cheese, cumin seeds sesame seeds or paprika.
You can of course make sticks with many kinds of toppings. Bake the sticks until golden brown. They will bake very fast, so don’t forget to check them often. The baking time depends on your oven and the size of the sticks.
