The recipe below is a very healthy alternative to coffee that contains lots of nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants. Even though it doesn’t contain coffee, it has a refreshing effect and its ingredients have a beneficial effect on the mind.

Ingredients

  • 1 small banana
  • 1 cup fat-free milk
  • 1 tablespoon chicory
  • 1 tablespoon Maca powder
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • Vanilla – optional

Preparation

Place all ingredients into a blender and mix until creamy, then pour into a cup and mix well again. Allow to cool and drink slowly. Maca is a superfood that increases the energy level and induces a sensation of vitality and happiness.

Cocoa contains theobromine, a stimulant that makes you feel happy. It is a powerful antioxidant and it contains polyphenols that stimulate the heart, have diuretic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect, and improve the metabolism of iodine and calcium.
