5 mistakes we make in the morning

A usual day in our lives could start much better if we avoided several mistakes we make involuntarily, writes Huffington Post.

You quickly roll out of bed ready to start a new day. This exercise will help to warm up the muscles and the blood will start circulating more vigorously, too. This way, you will be more stable when getting out of bed.

Keeping the blinds down when you are getting ready for work

Blinds help you transform the bedroom into a pleasant environment for falling asleep. But in the morning, to start the day with a positive attitude and set the internal clock right, you need sunlight. Allowing morning sunrays to lighten up your home may even regulate your body weight, discovered researchers at the Medicinal Faculty of the University of Feinberg.

The advice is that you open the blinds as soon as you get up.

Allowing several minutes to pamper yourself before lunchtime

If you work hard all morning and then have a short lunch break at 3 in the afternoon, you will be exhausted. According to a recent study performed at the University of Minnesota, employees were in a better mood if they experienced pleasant events in the morning. These employees could handle workplace conflicts much better.

You should pamper yourself with a cappuccino on the way to work, or you should call someone and enjoy the morning sun.

Setting the alarm clock for an unnecessarily early time

You plan to sleep 10 minutes more after you stopped the alarm clock. Then you doze for another 10 minutes, and then it takes about 3 minutes to get out of the bed and smooth out the sheets. The problem is, a disturbed sleep will affect your body, and it will make it more difficult to fall asleep at night.

Instead, you should get up as soon as the alarm clock stops, not 10 or 20 minutes later.

Starting the morning with exercise

In order to help your body, you should eat no later than 30 minutes after getting up; however, this is difficult to do if you think of doing some exercise first. The fact is, though, that skipping the morning meal creates problems. After you have fasted for an entire night, your body needs carbohydrates in order to replenish its exhausted resources, especially if you intend to exercise afterwards.
